Media Downloader for Telegram Web

Chrome extension · saves media from your open Telegram Web chat

Telegram Web saves one file at a time, through a menu, with a name like document_2026-09-06_14-22-01.pdf. Media Downloader puts a save control on every photo, video, voice note and document in the conversation you have open, and adds a panel that saves many of them at once with real progress and names taken from the message itself.

What it does

Finds photos, videos, GIFs, round video notes, music, voice messages and documents in the open conversation
Adds a one-click save control to each item, so you never have to match a file in a list against a message on screen
A panel with type filters, multi-selection, size totals and per-item progress
Names files from the message caption or the real document name instead of a timestamp
Cancel any download while it is transferring
Runs entirely in your browser — no account, no server, no analytics

Scope and limits

Works on Telegram Web K (web.telegram.org/k/); Web A is not supported yet
Saves media your session has already loaded in the chat you have open
Requires Chrome 127 or newer
You are responsible for having the rights to retain anything you save
